The Linkages Project is composed by a team of transdisciplinary members. We are researchers from academia in Brazil and in the Netherlands, practitioners from civil society organizations and leaderships from local communities of the Amazon.

The project’s academic research is led the Núcleo de Estudos em Pesquisas Ambientais da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (NEPAM-Unicamp) and the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Amsterdam (CEDLA-UvA), in collaboration with the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA) and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). 

The research consortium also includes two civil society organizations, the Institute for Forest and Agricultural Management and Certification (Imaflora), the Health & Joy Project (PSA) and a local initiative in Pará, the Tomé-Açú Mixed Cooperative (CAMTA).

We also have close collaboration with key local partners: the Transamazônica Agroindustrial Cooperative (Coopatrans-Cacauway), the civil society organization Sapopema (SAPOPEMA), the Abaetetuba Cooperative of Fruit Growers (Cofruta), and the Assembly of the Agroextractive Cooperative of Western Pará (ACOSPER).
