We are a transdisciplinary team with members from academia, civil society and local communities. Academic research is led by the Núcleo de Estudos em Pesquisas Ambientais da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (NEPAM-Unicamp) and the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA) in Brazil, and by the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Amsterdam (CEDLA-UvA) and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) in the Netherlands. The research consortium also includes the Institute for Forest and Agricultural Management and Certification (Imaflora), the Health & Joy Project (PSA) and the Tomé-Açú Mixed Cooperative (CAMTA).
We also have key local partnerships with the Transamazônica Agroindustrial Cooperative (Coopatrans-Cacauway), the civil society organization Sapopema (SAPOPEMA), the Abaetetuba Fruit Growers Cooperative (Cofruta), and the Assembly of the Agroextractive Cooperative of Western Pará (ACOSPER).
